A highlight is when we bring the lightened pieces all the way up to the scalp, making it nice and bright on top.Touch ups for a highlight are every 6-8 weeks. A balayage is a more lived in look. We would hand paint these pieces and leave more of a natural root. This is better for someone who likes to go 10 weeks or longer in between appointments.

Please arrive with your hair clean and dry, brushed out , and down (not in a pony tail). Do not wash your hair the day of a color service as this can irritate the scalp. If you have curly hair , please arrive with your hair down , completely dry, detangled , and in the natural state of how you normally wear it curly. I like to dry cut curly hair and then wash it and smooth it out to double check the ends. That way you can wear is straight or curly and the cut with look great either way.

Use salon quality color protecting shampoo and conditioner. Wash your hair with more lukewarm water ( super hot water is not good for color). Don’t wash your hair every day. Use heat protectant, avoid chlorine. Avoid men that stress your out. If you have well water, get a filter to prolong color. Also, wait 48 hours before washing your hair once you get a color.

I would recommend coming in for a professional deep conditioning treatment. Follow this with using salon quality shampoo , conditioner, and a deep conditioner. I would also recommend using moroccan oil treatment , or another good quality oil to keep your ends hydrated.
